Welcoming our MFA, Espinosa said that Mexico wants to deepen the cooperation between the countries, mentioning that Armenia is a good partner for Mexico.
Espinosa stressed that Nalbandian’s visit will help for the further cooperation of the countries.
Nalbandian, in his turn, thanked Espinosa for inviting him to Mexico and stressed that Armenian side would do everything possible in order to develop the relations. As reported, the sides were eager to undertake the agreements which were discussed between them not long ago in New York.
According to them the opening of Armenian embassy in Mexico City would contribute to the strengthening and deepening of the relations between the countries.
During the meeting Nalbandian also introduced Espinosa Armenian policy towards Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and stressed that even though Azerbaijani side uses provocation in order to stop peaceful discussions, Armenia is eager to solve the conflict without a new war.
Discussions were also held on international issues.
The source informs that on that same day Nalbandian also met with the members of Mexican Senate and stressed that it is already 20 years since Armenia and Mexico cooperate with each other.
However, our minister stressed that throughout the years there were some problems between the countries and he mentioned the fact that in the past Mexican senate accepted a deal concerning Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which wasn’t favorable for Armenia and were contrary to international organizations .
