As we have already reported yesterday, according to 168.am, the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was expected to go to Moscow with an official visit, where he was scheduled to meet Russia’s president Vladimir Putin. According to the same source, Putin invited Sargsyan to Moscow for defining once and for all the intentions of Armenia about the membership to Eurasian Union. It was reported that Putin was resented by Armenia’s elusive behavior, and he was expecting a final decision from Serzh Sargsyan.
We tried to contact president’s office and find out whether the news about the president’s official visit is true or not. Office’s department of public relations suggested us to contact president’s press secretary Armen Arzumanyan, who was on a vacation. Arzumanyan’s local telephone did not answer and the mobile number was out of reach.
To our great surprise, press secretary of the president of Russian Federation neither confirmed nor denied the information about Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Moscow. Kremlin’s press service reported,”If your president visits any country, information about his visit appears on his official website, so you better check his official website.”
RF president’s press service denied to give any additional comments.
