Georgian media reports that Bidzila Ivanishvilli, leader of “Georgian Dream”, on the eve of the election announced that he is not going to use his right to vote in October 1 parliamentary elections in Georgia, despite the exception permitted by a Constitutional amendment.
According to spokesperson of the “Georgian Dream” Maya Panjikidze, Ivanishvili refuses to vote as a matter of principle.
“Mr. Ivanishvili will go to the polling station with his wife Ekaterine Khvedelidze, who will vote at a polling station in Sololaki )neighborhood in Tbilisi). As the leader of the coalition, he does not intend to use the constitutional amendments and to use the right to vote in this elections,” said Panjikidze.
