The social-political power “The People’s party” of Armenia which is the member party of the Armenian National Congress, considers the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan as the joint candidate of the opposition.
“Except Levon Ter-Petrosyan anybody, no matter who, no matter from which field, is unacceptable for us” – the member of “The People’s Party”, Movses Aristakesyan told “1in.am News and Analysis”.
He says Congress has united around Levon Ter-Petrosyan after the illegal elections in 2008. “If we must give that up and serve for others, we are not not going to do that.”- he said
To the question if Levon Ter-Petrosyan is not the joint candidate, will “The People’s Party” leave the Armenian National Congress, Movses Aristakesyan answered:”Our team hasn’t decided yet: I repeat that our joint candidate is Levon Ter-Petrosyan. If he is not the candidate, then we will decide.”
To our observation, that recently the policy of the head of the Congress is directed towards the “Prosperous Armenia” party, Movses Aristakesyan answered, that they are not led by talks, but they take into consideration the present events. He also mentioned that both “Prosperous Armenia” and Robert Qocharyan are unacceptable for them.
Movses Aristakesyan added that there is no doubt that Armenian National Congress doesn’t respond to David Shahnazaryan’s accusations who has left the party.
