Russian RIA Novosti reports that Azerbaijan and Russia will prolong the leasing of Gabala radar station for two-three years on previous terms.
Gabala Radar Station is a Daryal-type (NATO Pechora) biostatic phased-array early warning radar, built by the Soviet Union in the Qabala district of the Azerbaijan in 1985 . It is now operated by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces. The radar station has a range of up to 6,000 kilometers
