After Ramil Safarov’s extradition from Hungary to Azerbaijan there is still no suit from Armenian side to the European court of Human Rights of the international court of UNO.
Today is Gourgen Margaryan’s 34th birthday, said Hayk Mukuchyan, who was also in the NATO training in Budapest. He informed that he is going to present a separate suit to all the possible international institutions for deviation of his rights. “It is under examination of lawyers.”-said Hayk Mukuchyan adding that there is no need to turn to authorities, because they are already working hardly on that direction.
An expert of international right Levon Gevorgyan who was also present in the press conference noted that the suit to European Court of Human Rights will be based on “The violation of life right” convention. “Besides that we also deal with the convention of “elimination of any kind of discrimination”. Based on the latter we can turn to UNO international court of justice.”- said the expert.
He added that in ECHR Hungarian party will be in secondary position.” Hungarian responsibility is limited by the extradition of the convict.”- explained Levon Gevorgyan.
He added that Armenia has many chances to win the suits in ECHR and also in International UNO courts, because pardoning a murderer is an absolute proof of life right violation.
But according to him ECHR can maximum give financial compensation to the aggrieved party. The expert appreciates the fact of proving state’s interference in murder on ethnic grounds adding that the trial may last for 3-6 years. On his friend’s birthday Hayk Mukuchyan described him in two words – “Kind Giant”.
