“As for me, I am sure and I know that Aram Manukyan was striving for not pursuing Vano Siradeghyan and not proscribing him from Armenia. Those days we were all united. As for me, our party then was in a difficult state in the parliament: we boycotted the sessions since we were deprived of the chance to act in a normal working atmosphere thanks to Robert Kocharyan. I violated the boycott and was in the parliament on that day. I made a speech and named people who were blamed for Vano Siradeghyan’s prosecution. We did not take part in voting since there was no sense to vote, the question was a positive one- who agrees for depriving Siradeghyan of immunity? Participating in the voting would automatically legitimize the process” Hovhannes Igityan member of Armenian National Congress and ANM (Armenian National Movement) then touched upon the issue of Vano Siradeghyan’s prosecution. Commenting on the possibility of Siradeghyan;s return to Armenia Igityan noted probability for Serzh Sargsyan taking actions to bring him back since what was done to Siradeghyan was a “revenge” by one man-Kocharyan.
