Hungary must take some steps for restoring Armenian-Hungarian relations. This was said by the secretary general of Swiss-Armenian association Sargis Shahinyan.
He reminded that on September 3rd the Hungarian FM offered to take up the role of mediator, but the press secretary of FM refused the offer.
Sargis Shahinyan finds that this is a right step, as there is no conflict between the countries. According to him there is no need of mediation neither by NATO, nor by Switzerland, or by European organizations. Hungarian deeds must be viewed as violation from main rights.
“We have written a very concrete letter to Hungarian government and we think that by some Hungarian actions the diplomatic relations may be stored.” – elaborated S. Shahinyan.
According to his words Hungarian government must take up the responsibility for its mistake, must apologize and call back its ambassador.
