Georgian Media reports that a U.S. delegation, led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Thomas Melia, this morning, September 10, arrived in Georgia.
Melia told reporters at Tbilisi airport, that the aim of their visit is to get acquainted with the pre-election situation and to stress the importance of the democratic election process, as a result of which the Georgian people should elect parliament expressing their will.
The source reports that the delegation will hold a series of meetings with the opposition parties, NGOs and the authorities.
