As Azerbaijani Salam.news agency reports NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen referred to the peaceful resolution process of Karabach conflict during the joint press conference with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev.
“NATO isn’t directly included in resolution process of Karabakh conflict. NATO continues supporting Minsk process and its efforts in getting solution for this problem.”
In the charter of Chicago summit NATO’s position is clearly stated. NATO makes efforts to reduce tension in the region and to establish peace and cooperation. There is no alternative for Karabakh conflict resolution.
We are concerned by the fact of Ramil Safarov’s pardon. This step doesn’t help the peaceful resolution process of Karabakh conflict.”
Yesterday Rasmussen had meetings with Ilham Aliyev, FM Elmar Mamedyarov and DM Safar Abiev.
