Trend news agency, citing the announcement made by SOCAR officials, reports that one of its refineries, Azneftyag, has increased oil processing.
The source informs that according to data, calculated till August 20, Azneftyag refinery processed 640,851 tons of oil, compared to 636,831 tons envisaged for January-August.
As reported, 341,320 tons of light oil was produced during this period, of which, more than 68,700 tons fell to petrol and 191,370 tons to diesel fuel.
As of August 20, the plant produced 81,200 tons of kerosene and around 184,900 tons of oil distillates.
Note, oil products are produced at two Baku refineries with a capacity of 20 million tons of oil a year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes around 6 million tons of oil extracted onshore and offshore at its own expense.
