Nana Avetisova, “Armavia” airline’s press secretary, told “1in am news and analyses” that starting from today, September 03, “Armavia” airlines terminates its flights to Aleppo.
She clarified, that this decision is made, due to the threats coming from the Free Syrian Army.
“We are doing this for the safety of our people. As all of you know the clashes in Syria are still going on, and earlier FSA warned that they would occupy the airports in Damascus and Aleppo, so in order not to have any damages, we are stopping all our flights to Aleppo.”
Note, last week, one of the Syrian newspapers, citing FSA announcements, wrote that FSA will take control of the airports, since the government was using the airlines for military actions, which is prohibited.
