Georgian official sources report that David Bakradze, chairman of the Georgian Parliament and number one in the election list of the ruling party United National Movement, left for U.S. with an official visit on Monday morning.
As reported, the aim of the visit is to attend the Democratic National Convention, which will officially nominate President Barack Obama for a second four-year term and to discuss the pre-election situation in Georgia.
“We always inform our American partners about the pre-election situation in the country, because we are interested in the competitive and fair elections,” Bakradze stressed and added that by this meeting, in US, he, and his country, will have the chance to share the views of Georgia.
