Georgian new parliament will have four Armenian deputies. The head of the Assembly of Javakhk Arnold Stepanian said this in the conversation with “First News and Analyses”, referring to the pre-electoral atmosphere in Georgia.
He said that two Armenian representatives of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s party are nominated in Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda. According to Stepanian’s assessments, they have quite big opportunities. One more Armenian will enter the Parliament by the list of the “National Movement” party. Arnold Stepanian did not explain that there will be one more Armenian in Parliament from Bidzina Ivanishvili’s “Georgian Dream” party.
“In other words, it is possible to have four Armenian deputies. Many Armenians have been nominated, but only four of them have a real chance to become deputies, “said the head of the Union of Javakhk.
Referring to the public mood, he said that the Georgian capital Tbilisi, the votes of the population will be shared between the government and the opposition, and in Javakhk the authorities will have more votes. “Pressures in Javakhk are very big, “clarified Arnold Stepanian.
