Yesterday PAP member Armen Matevosyan pleaded guilty in court that he has given corruption before elections and forced some citizens to vote for “Prosperous Armenia” party. In the interview with Aravot.am what punishment he expects for that, he answered: “I hope on the mild one. I have no idea.” But the paper didn’t understand what he meant by saying mild punishment.
“Aravot” inquired what role PAP had in buying votes, whether it had supported or not, he assured: “No. I did everything myself.” The paper wanted to check whether he has given money from his own pocket to support his party, he answered- yes. He also mentioned that except the ones known to be given swag, there are no others.
It is remarkable that though Armen Matevosyan has pleaded guilty, one of the witnesses Tsovinar Kostanyan assured that he doesn’t know him and has taken no money from him: “It wasn’t a crruption, but aid, we have written a solicitation to PAP to help by 10.000 AMD.”
