Armeconombank participated in the conference initiated by the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) in Kapan, Syunik Region, titled “Opportunities and Prospects for Cooperation between the Business and Banking Sectors in Syunik Region”. The aim of the second regional conference, held on October 31, was to discuss the peculiarities and opportunities of Syunik’s business environment, as well as to promote cooperation among the banking sector, state institutions, and the private sector.
The event kicked off with the “Banks in One Place” expo, which was designed to create a platform for dialogue between Syunik entrepreneurs and bank representatives. During the expo, Armeconombank presented its SME policy and the financial instruments offered to the sector, as well as other related retail banking products.
During the panel discussions, participants addressed the current challenges faced by SMEs, the key role of the banking system in overcoming those obstacles, and the state support programs that operate within the SME financing framework.
In Syunik, Armeconombank’s SME financing is primarily directed toward the tourism sector, including hospitality businesses. A representative of the “Khoreayi Dzor” hotel and restaurant complex established in Goris — a project fully financed by Armeconombank — during the panel discussion highly emphasized the cooperation with Armeconombank in terms of supporting the establishment and development of the business.
Armeconombank highly values the conference dedicated to unlocking Syunik’s entrepreneurial potential, which became a platform for establishing new and effective partnerships.
