Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan received the delegation led by Vasilis Maragos, the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
The minister emphasized the high level of cooperation with the EU to ensure democratic reforms and the rule of law in RA.
Grigor Minasyan referred to the deepening of cooperation with the EU Criminal Justice Agency (Eurojust) and emphasized the importance of signing the “Working Agreement” project to ensure the implementation of the Eurojust Agreement.
The Minister of Justice expressed his gratitude for the EU support for the renovation of two buildings of the “Abovyan” Penitentiary and expressed hope that cooperation in this direction will be continuous.
Vasilis Maragos, head of the European Union delegation in Armenia, referred to the visa liberalization dialogue. The parties recorded the planned actions in this direction.
During the meeting, reference was also made to the implementation process of the RA-EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement, the EU budget support, and the development of the electronic justice system, “e-justice.”
Grigor Minasyan and Vasilis Maragos have reached an agreement to continue joint work in the context of reforming the justice sector.
