The agreement’s purpose is to facilitate the travel procedures of persons with diplomatic passports of Armenia and Tunisia. Citizens of each state holding a valid diplomatic passport will be exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa to enter the territory of the other state for a period not exceeding 90 days within 180 days from the date of transit or first entry.
Relations between Armenia and Tunisia have great potential for development. The document will also be important for expanding the legal contract field in the field, which will give an opportunity to expand and deepen the political dialogue with Tunisia and invigorate mutual visits.
RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan spoke about this during the discussion of the draft law “On ratifying the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia on the abolition of the visa requirement for persons with diplomatic passports” at the session of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations on September 4.
According to Hripsime Grigoryan, a member of the commission, the ratification of the agreement is another positive step in expanding relations with a friendly country and creating easy conditions for mutual visits. He suggested colleagues respond positively to the draft law.
The commission approved the draft law.
