Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met in North Macedonia on March 18. Vučić still refuses to recognize the independence of Kosovo, but after the negotiations, the countries’ leaders announced that an agreement was reached on several points at once.
“Today nothing ends, only begins,” said the President of Serbia. Protests occurred in Belgrade on the eve of the meeting between Kurti and Vucic. Several thousand Serbian nationalists marched to the president’s office, chanting “No capitulation,” “Kosovo is not a deal,” and “Serbia is not the European Union.”
