
The Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrin Jakobsdóttir, has reaffirmed the call of the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, to restore the freedom of movement through the Lachin Corridor.
On January 26, at the PACE winter session, the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrin Jakobsdóttir, delivered a message on behalf of the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Referring to Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Nagorno-Karabakh, the Prime Minister of Iceland, in particular, noted that the humanitarian situation in the region is a reason for growing concern.
Prime Minister Jakobsdóttir reaffirmed the statement of Iceland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir regarding the one-month blockade of the Lachin Corridor, calling for the restoration of freedom of movement through the Lachin Corridor.
