According to the information of ‘First News and Analyses”, “Prosperous Armenia” party has collected almost all the presented tractors from the last year’s parliamentary elections.
One of these tractors PAP took at last year’s local government elections in September to Lori region’s Shahumyan community, where they had nominated a candidate. Generally PAP tractors were used for campaign in those communities, where a candidate was nominated.
Shahumyan village headmanEdik Manukyan told “First News and Analyses” that a week before the elections PAP team brought that tractor to their village and, after showing off and crying out “Pro-spe-ri-ous, Pro-spe-ri-ous” all over the village, they took it back. He noted that it was all done to increase the PAP’s rating and nothing more.
The latter said that the PAP representatives send tractors also to other communities of Lori region as an election campaign, but later “called back.”
Recall that PAP tractors were presented to different communities before the parliamentary elections last year in May as a charity, donation to communities. But it became clear very quickly that the PAP has created Ltd.-s in different communities, which were going to use these tractors.
After the parliamentary elections tractors “participated” in the fall campaign for local elections and again were withdrawn.
In the near future only the presidential and Yerevan mayor elections are expected. It is known that these tractors won’t be needed during either of them. So Tsarukyan will have to either sell his pre-election tractors, or keep them for the next local or parliamentary election campaign.
