In the interview with journalists, political scientist Gagik Hambaryan had this opinion about Raffi Hovhannissian, pointing out that there is no need to insist that the presidential elections are going to pass without any extraordinary developments.
“At this point, I can say that nobody can be an equal opposition to the incumbent president, but we should not be deceived, as we had the experience from 2008 presidential elections. So among the 7 candidates, I see only one person who can commix the cards of the authorities and that would be leader of the “Heritage” party, Raffi Hovhannissian. And in case he runs a good campaign, he might end up going to the second round of the elections.” said Hambaryan.
