The new leadership of Georgia should not transgress against the former government, the chairman of International Relations Committee of European Parliament Elmar Brok stated on Friday after a meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
“We are here to show our long-term interest in development of political relations between the EU and Georgia. We also want to stress that it is necessary to continue the policy led by country in recent years. We also see a very positive development in transfer of government, something to be maintained in future for a peaceful transfer of power, “Brock said.
