A Human Rights Day traditional Rock Concert was held at the Abelyan Dramatic Theatre in the city of Vanadzor on December 11, 2012 and the concert was part of a campaign and was in line with the slogan of the year “My Voice Counts”.
Representatives of the organizers UN Armenia Office, EU Delegation of Armenia, OSCE Yerevan Office and the Lori regional bureau of Human Rights Defender’s Office welcomed the audience; spoke about role of youth in promotion and protection of human rights. National and local media were present covering the event.
As reported four Armenian rock bands Dogma, Bambir, Vordan Karmir and Lav Eli (the last two are originally local Vanadzor bands) played rock songs, promoting universal values of human rights, peace and tolerance.
This Human Rights Day related campaign is organized by the United Nations, OSCE Office in Yerevan, EU Delegation to Armenia and the Council of Europe, with the support of the Armenian partner – Human Rights Defender’s Office.
