Armenian national statistical center published a research entitled “Armenia: subjective level of Poverty” and according to it the poverty level of Armenia decreased in 2011, compared to 2008.
According to the published information in 2011, 15.4 percent of people consider them poor and extremely poor and in 2008 it was 17.0%.
The research shows that 43.2% of surveyed people said that they have an average standard of living and in 2008 it was 43.0%.
38.2 percent said that their standard of living is lower than average and in 2008 it was 35.6%.
Finally only 0.1% of the surveyed people consider them as rich, and in 2008 it was 0.2%.
3.1% said that they have higher average than standard of living, and in 2008 it was 4.2%.
