Georgian media reports that Georgian Prosecutor Office resumed investigation of PM Zurab Zhvania’s death since Zurab Zhvania’s brother Giorgi Zhvania urged them to do so.
Giorgi Zhvania left the Prosecutor’s Office late in the night. He said that the investigation into his brother’s death is resumed.
According to Zhvania, former Justice Minister Zurab Adeishvili and former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili hide the truth about Zurab Zhvania’s death.
I stated my view on this case and the arguments I have, now it is up to the prosecutor’s office and investigator will make comments on this case,” Giorgi Zhvania said.
Note, one of the most influential politicians of Georgia – 42-year-old Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania was found dead on Feb.3, 2005 in a rented apartment with his friend, 22-year-old employee of the regional administration, Raul Yusupov. Officially, the cause of Zhvania and Yusupov’s death was carbon monoxide poisoning.
