US-Armenian daily, Armenian weekly, writes that on October 21, the Armenian Community Center of Greater Detroit (ACC) held a land blessing ceremony in Novi Michigan.
As reported, the ACC had acquired this 10-acre land in December and the newly acquired property will be the future home of the new Armenian Community Center. A preliminary conceptual plan was also distributed to the attendees. An estimated 250 people were present at the event.
The source informs that Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of the Eastern Prelacy, presided over the land blessing services.
Senator Stabenow, a strong supporter of the Armenian Genocide Resolution bill, talked about the contributions Armenians have made in Metro Detroit and all across the world.
“I was honored to join church leaders and members of our Armenian American community for this land blessing ceremony,” said Stabenow adding “Novi will be a wonderful new home for the community center’s important educational and cultural events that are part of Michigan’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.”
