The inglorious march of Armenian Sport continued yesterday in London’s Olympiad. Another candidate for medal Meline Daluzyan also failed. Earlier Arakel Mirzoyan had also failed. This becomes a reason for a controversial impression.
It is obvious that our sportsmen have left for London with improper training. But it does not give ground for criticizing them because not all of the sportsmen have taken part in the games yet. That is why one must not be disappointed by the failure of the first few days even though the belief in the victory is not as strong now as it was before. Armenia still has weigh-lifters and wrestlers who are real medal candidates and they may bring us Olympic victories.
We wish success, power, flexibility and ambitiousness to our sportsmen who have not come out to the arena yet so they can raise the flag of our country in London and it is possible, that we can also hear the anthem of Armenia there.
We have to note, that according to experts and also according to what any sports fan can observe, the failures that we had till today is preconditioned also by non-professional decisions of the training-team. This was noticed also by world famous Armenian weightlifter Jury Vardanyan, who mentioned the non-professional decisions made by the Federation and the president of Olympic committee Gagik Tsarukyan, especially in Arakel Mirzoyan’s case.
This not surprising as Armenian sport is guided not by professional but by feudal rules and everything is decided by the will of the sponsor, the person who is giving the money. And finally they do all this for PR purposes.
Anyhow, we wish good luck to our sportsmen and hope to see Armenian flag rising in the arena.
