According to Georgia Times, the Minister of Reintegration affairs of Georgia Temur Iakobashvili explained signing such treaties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia would be indirect recognition of their independency.
Not so long ago Iakobashvili underlined Nicolas Sarcozy meant signing non-aggression teary between Tbilisi and Moscow.
“Sarkozy said he would hail the fact if Georgian side takes responsibilities for non-use of force, – he noted. – Our position on the issue is already known, and we’ve already taken these responsibilities in the framework of Medvedev-Sarkozy agreement.”
Previous messages said Nicolas Sarkozy considers necessary Georgia’s signing an agreement on non-use of force towards Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and granting access to the territories of the aforesaid republics the EU monitors.
