Former Russian representative in OSCE Minsk group ambassador Vladimir Kazimirov in the in interview with 1in.am voiced opinion that the Astrakhan meeting between the three parties (Sargsyan- Medvedev-Aliev) brought the settlement process to a negotiation course. “Even it alone would be enough to justify the reason behind holding such a meeting in Astrakhan”, Kazimirov struck. Among others he also would cherish the hope that what Medvedev said in the wake of the meeting, would be realized. If the sides work, the FA ministers work then some documents would be possible to submit for signing. “But there is a Russian saying: I would happily be mistaken in my skepticism, may life refute me”. I don’t believe it much and would be happy to be mistaken in that issue”, Kazimirov noted adding that the stances of the sides in a number of major issues still are unmatched.
